Hess Toy Trucks
1972 and 1974 Hess Trucks

    In 1972 and also in 1974, Hess reissued the 1968 tanker truck. The differences between the
1972-74 and the 1968 model are a slight color variation, the 72-74 is a lighter green. The
 exhaust stack is also shorter on these later models, probably to avoid them breaking off.
 The 1968 and 1969 have square trailer feet and the 1972 and 1974 have round trailer feet.
 The box remains the same except on the 1972-1974 box the end flap reads "Amerada Hess Corporation."
The 1972 and the 1974 are the exact same truck with one slight variation.
 Catwalk on top of tanker does not extend to the end on 1972. The original price on the 1972
was $1.79 and in 1974 it was $1.89.  In 1973 Hess did not offer a toy truck most likely
 due to the Arab Oil embargo and high oil prices at the time.

Finish on all parts of the truck including chrome are perfect.
No discoloration of the white part of the tanker and
the decals are 99% intact.
Lights all in working order. All in brand new condition.
Outstanding box with very little wear. No creases.
