1966 Voyager Ship

This Hess Voyager ship has been kept in it's box
it's entire life. It looks brand new. The white parts
are white as snow. There are no marks or defects on it.
 There is no discoloring. The lights all work perfectly.
I cannot say anything more about how mint it is and I have
seen many over the last 24 years.
However, it is missing the decals on both sides. The back one
is still there as well as the ones on the smoke stack but the words Hess Voyager and a Hess logo are missing from both sides.
No other parts are missing, masts, anchors, prop, flag, etc.
The only explanations I can come up with are they dried out and crumbled and fell off and that is a possibility. I will offer another one,
they were never put on in the first place at the factory. Looking closely, there are no marks whatsoever to indicate they were there and came off. I have seen others that deteriorated but there was residue from where they had been. In any case, whatever the reason they are not there so please use your own judgment in this matter.
Beautiful box with all 3 cardboard inserts.
 No creases, tears or damage. A very slight bit of
discoloration and a few small stains.
Brand new looking battery card.
